Music is an integral part of worship at First Church, and we are blessed by many singers and musicians, young and old, willing to share their talents.
Accomplished organist Rhonda Kwiecien commands First Church’s 50-rank Möller pipe organ, acknowledged as one of the area’s finest instruments.
You are invited to participate in the many musical opportunities of the church. Choir members range from first-time singers and bell ringers to professional musicians. They are bound by a common dedication to the ministry of music.
Choirs are all open to members.
First Church Choir sings each week at the 10:00 AM worship service and the special holiday services throughout the year. The choir also presents a beloved Christmas concert every December. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM. Vocalists of all levels are welcome to participate.
The Jubilation Ringers, under the direction of our choir director, perform pieces for select services throughout the September to May season. Contact the Office at 414-258-7375 if you would like to learn more about this group.
One way children learn to worship God and express their Christian faith is through the development of their musical gifts. The Junior Choir performs for selected worship services and rehearses Sunday mornings as needed. Children in Pre-K through eighth grade are invited to discover the joy of singing under the tutelage of director Roxanne Trump-Miles.
The Brass Choir assembles at Christmas time to prepare for a performance of traditional carols as the congregation gathers before the 10’oclock service. Our brass ensemble is composed of amateur and professional musicians who enjoy performing together. Rehearsals are held as needed.

This impressive instrument’s main console and pipes are hidden from view in the sanctuary, with the pipes situated behind faux wall panels and the console set below the floor in the choir loft. A small antiphonal grouping of pipes can be seen by those in the balcony. The M.P. Möller company expanded upon the prior 1954 Reuter organ, bringing it to a total of 2300 pipes in 41 ranks. In 2020, the organ was updated with a digital console. Organist is Rhonda Kwiecien, Director of Music and Keyboard Artist.
